Put Flickr on Your Facebook Page!

Are pictures and photographs part of your marketing strategy?   Sometimes a picture can grab interest quicker and draw a person into your marketing funnel faster than anything else.  Many of us use Flickr to store and share the files we want to share with our market.  It’s a great idea to share our pictures with the widest audience possible.  I like to use a wide variety of my pictures on my social media sites, as do many other internet marketers.  I do most of my photo sharing on Flickr, the most popular photo sharing service, and on Facebook.

What I don’t like is uploading photos repetitively to two or more sites.  Time is precious to an internet marketer, there are so many places, and so many different social media sites that we need to use in communicating with our market.  If we can eliminate any repetitive work it pays great dividends.  That is why I like to embed my Flickr photos into my Facebook Pages, to eliminate the need to always upload the same pictures two different places.  It saves me time, and also gives me the opportunity to have my readers and viewers move back and forth between content on two of my sites.  Engaging my readers in my circle of sites, helps to increase their trust, and interest in what I have to share, which helps in closing more sales, and making more profit.  I am able to easily choose which photos I want on my Facebook pages, by choosing which tags, or photosets I want displayed.
If you would like to starting embedding your Flickr photos and pictures in Facebook, you can follow these steps:
  1. Go to your facebook account and type “My Flickr” on the search field.
    embed-flickr-1
  2. Click “Authenticate” to authenticate My Flickr to your facebook account
    embed-flickr-2
  3. Click “OK, I’LL AUTHORIZE” button
    embed-flickr-3
  4. Click “Search for photos” on the next page (Configuration page)
    embed-flickr-4
  5. Type the keyword that you want to search on the “Full Text Search“, the photo tag that you know on “Tags” and click “Preview Your Search” button.
    embed-flickr-5
  6. The search result will appears on the bottom page. Choose the options that you like to put your photos to, and click “Save Search” button.
    embed-flickr-6
  7. The successful message will appear. On the right top page, click “Configure“.
    embed-flickr-7
  8. Click “Add to Profile” if you want your photo to be displayed on your profile box. New window will appear, click “add” to complete it.
    embed-flickr-8
  9. To add My Flickr on your profile tab, on the bottom side of “Profile Box“, choose the search result that you did before, and click “Save and Generate” Tab.
    embed-flickr-9
After that “My Flickr” tab should appear on your profile.
Using your time and content to your greatest advantage, across multiple sites, will help you create a great social media funnel, increasing your traffic, and increasing your market share.

Embed Your YouTube Video into Your Facebook Page

Two of the most important Social Networking sites for every marketer should be Facebook and YouTube.  Facebook and YouTube dominate the social media sites with the highest volume of active visitors, and searches.  Video content is important in your marketing efforts, while some people love to read information, many people prefer the visual learning from video content.  Some of the top Internet Marketers use video as their primary sales tool, with even a few using only video, instead of traditional sales page.

Creating different video content for a wide variety sites can be overwhelming.  Wouldn’t it be great if you could leverage your video content easily to both sites, giving you the highest potential number of viewers? By embedding your YouTube videos into your Facebook profile or Facebook Pages, you not only give your Facebook followers great content, but you also increase the potential traffic to your YouTube profile, to see more of your videos.

By embedding your YouTube videos into Facebook, you also reduce the amount of video content you need to create.  Instead of creating unique videos for each site, you can leverage your videos across both sites. You can embed YouTube videos into Facebook by following these easy steps:
  1. Logon to your Facebook account.
  2. On the status sharing box, click the tiny arrow that says “More” and click “Link
    embed-youtube-video-to-facebook-1
  3. Put your YouTube video link on the field box and click “Attach“.
    embed-youtube-video-to-facebook-2
  4. You will see the video preview, description and link after that. Click the “Share” button if you are ready to share it.
    embed-youtube-video-to-facebook-3
While embedding your YouTube videos into Facebook saves you a lot of time, and leverages your content, it currently is not possible to add your YouTube feed to Facebook.  That would give you even more leverage, and hopefully this feature will become available in the future.  When this becomes available, we will be sure to let you know.

Using video for teaching and marketing in your niche will help you catch and hold the attention of more people.  Leveraging your video content by embedding your YouTube videos into Facebook, you extend the reach of your videos, and your potential sales opportunities.

Installing Google Analytics on Wordpress Blog

Are you using Wordpress for your marketing?  Do you really know what posts are popular?  Do you know what keywords brought visitors to your blog? How did your visitors get to your site?

A common mistake a new internet marketer makes is not gathering statistics about their blogs starting on day one. Getting feedback on what posts work, and what keywords are producing your traffic, allows you to focus on your markets desires, and target the proper offers for making real money.

The solution is to add Google Analytics to your Wordpress blog. With Google Analytics you will be able to track where your visitors come from by country (sometimes this is really eye opening), what browser they are using, how long they stayed on your site, and many other factors. You’ll also be able to see what sites sent you the traffic, if it is the search engines, the social bookmarking sites, another website, or even if people directly typed in your site’s URL. This information is critical to planning your future posts, and for determining where you need to promote your site.

Many people have not used Google Analytics since they are convinced they will need to put the code on every page of their blog. Luckily there is a great Google Analytics Plugin for Wordpress which will place the code in every post for you.

The plugin is very simple to install, here are the steps you need to follow :

  1. Login to your Wordpress blog to access your Dashboard.
  2. On left side, click tiny arrow on Plugins section then click ‘Add New’.
    plugins-add-new
  3. Type ‘Google Analyticator’ on search box, hit ‘Search Plugins’ button. Click ‘Install’.

  4. Click ‘Install Now’ when description window appears.
    analyticator-install-now
  5. Wordpress will do the installation for you, don’t forget to click ‘Activate Plugin’
    analyticator-activate-plugin
  6. Don’t close your blog, but now login to www.Google.com/analytics using your Gmail account. If you don’t have it, create it first.
  7. If this is your first time on Google Analytics, you have to fill the ‘New Account Signup’ form until you have this code on your screen. Copy the tracking code given :
    google-analytic-code

Otherwise, just click ‘Add Website Profile’ on your existing Analytics account and you will find the tracking code after you type your URL.

    existing-google-analytic-code
  8. Back to your Wordpress, click ‘Google Analytics’ on Settings section. Make it enable, click the ‘Authenticate with Google’ link to make the stats appear on your dashboard and the last thing to do is… type your tracking code.
    setting-google-analytics
    google-analitics-plugins-setting
  9. Click ‘Save Changes’ on the bottom of your screen. Done! You will see your stats on your dashboard.

While Google Analytics is a great tool, it does have one minor issue for a marketer.  The statistics are not real-time. If you start a new marketing campaign and were wanting to watch the statistics through the day, you cannot. You will need to wait until the next day to see your results.

The Google Analytics for Wordpress will give you the important information you need to monitor and market to your niche. Without accurate data, you are throwing darts blindfolded, with Google Analytics, you’ll have a laser focus, and start hitting the marketing bulls-eye.

Creating Email Subscription Using FeedBurner

We have all heard the saying “the money is in the list” referring to building an email list, so you can keep in contact with your market. But for the new internet marketer, the cost of subscribing to an email autoresponder service can seem very expensive.

With the two major companies, Aweber and GetResponse, you are charged for the number of email subscribers on your list, and with their recent price changes, it has gone beyond the price “comfort zone” of many marketers. Spending $50 to $100 a month may not seem high to an established internet marketer, but when you’re starting out, every marketing penny counts.

If you are serious about making money online, you must create an email list, even while you are pinching your pennies. One great solution is to offer an email option from your blog. You can create a simple system for sending out your blog posts by email using Google’s Email Subscription via FeedBurner service. The FeedBurner service will allow you to start collecting and emailing subscribers for free.

To use the email subscription via FeedBurner, you will need to sign in to your Google account, and add your blog feed. You then add to your blog or web site, your readers fill out the form and subscribe to your blog feed. You can even add the subscription form as a widget in Typepad or Blogger. Your readers would then receive your new blog posts in email.

Here’s the step by step instructions in detail :

  1. go to www.Feedburner.com
  2. login using your Google account. if you don’t have it, create it first by clicking ‘Create an account’.
  3. once you’ve logged in, type your feed address. then click NEXT.
if you’re using Wordpress, usually your feed address is http://yourdomain.com/feed
but if you’re using Blogger, your feed address is http://yourblog.blogspot.com/atom.xml

    Type-blog-feed-URL

  4. on the next page, customize your Feed Title and Feed Address. then click NEXT to continue.
    Feed-title-feedburner-address
  5. click NEXT once again to get additional feature for free, FeedBurner Stats.
  6. click on check-box where you want to enable clickthroughs or other stats. then click NEXT to continue.
    Feedburner-clickthroughs-stats
  7. to enable the email subscription feature, click Publicize tab then click ‘Email Subscriptions’ on left side and click ‘Activate’
    Publicize-Email-Subscriptions-Activate
  8. you should see this code after ‘Activate’ button clicked :
    <a href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=YourBlog&amp;loc=en_US">Subscribe to Your Blog by Email</a>
you can directly use that code on your blog or if you want to use it with image or icon, just use the highlighted code given below :
    <a href="http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailverify?uri=YourBlog&amp;loc=en_US">
    <img border="0" src="http://link-to-your-image-file"></a>
  9. you’re done! do some test before you publish it. you should see the Feedburner’s subscription page after clicking that link.

The FeedBurner service does come with a cost. The cost is in the features you lose. You can’t have a list of custom messages sent to new subscribers on a scheduled basis. Also, you will not have the detailed statistics you get from the paid autoresponders.

I suspect it is much easier to get listed on one of the email blacklists or caught in junk folders, since you don’t have the teams at Aweber or GetResponse working with Internet providers to keep you off of the spam lists. One other big issue, blog posts are not the greatest email format for email marketing, but keeping in contact with your market with FeedBurner emails, is much better than no emails.

Using the email subscription via FeedBurner is an inexpensive way to start collecting subscribers into your sales funnel. As your sales increase, you can move up to the more feature rich services from GetResponse or Aweber.
